Owners/Operators of Single-Walled Underground Storage Tanks (UST) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts have an important compliance deadline approaching.

In 2015, MassDEP revised its CMR 310 80.00 regulations for UST systems containing petroleum or hazardous substances, and August 7, 2017 is the upcoming compliance deadline for the removal of all single walled steel USTs in the state. More information, including a summary of the changes and a copy of the new regulations, can be obtained at http://www.mass.gov/eea/agencies/massdep/toxics/ust/newregs.html.

Greystone, a full service environmental consulting firm with a local office in Waltham, MA, has teamed with Strategic Environmental Services (SES) out of Sutton, MA to be the premier turn key provider for UST removal and compliance in the state. Greystone and SES are already assisting clients with UST removal and compliance in Massachusets in order to meet the deadline.

As many Owners/Operators will be requesting assistance with last minute compliance, we expect that contractors will be fully scheduled in 2017.
